The July Garden Safari organised by Halton Gardening Group was a huge success with over £800 raised for village planting projects.
Our visitors from far and wide thoroughly enjoyed a leisurely weekend strolling around the 11 open gardens in the glorious sunshine.
Much appreciated teas and cakes were provided at Forgewood Cottage giving visitors a chance for a rest before heading off to the next delightful garden.
All the gardeners were thrilled that their hard work of planting, tending and weeding paid off when they received comments such as:
“Fabulous gardens. We have taken some great ideas away with us. Thank you.”
“Given me a new perspective on Halton. Wonderful!”
The excellent maps proved essential and were well used considering the number of people seen strolling around Halton clutching one.
